  Breeder's Registry
The Breeder's Registry is a nonprofit organization promoting captive propagation of marine organisms as a viable alternative to wild harvest. It maintains a database which contains information on husbandry and spawning of marine organisms. Most of this information has been provided by marine aquarists with closed system applications (maquaculture). The Breeder's Registry is entering its eigth year of operation and produces a quarterly publication, The Journal of MaquaCulture.

 

  Marine Aquarium Council (MAC)
The Marine Aquarium Council (MAC) is an independent, non-profit organization headquartered in Hawaii. MAC brings together representatives of the aquarium industry, hobbyists, conservation organizations, government agencies, public aquariums, international organizations and others - all with a shared interest in the future of the marine aquarium industry, and the marine organisms and habitat it is based on. There is no cost to participation in this MAC network that is open to those ready to collaborate and contribute to the MAC Mission.

  Marine Aquarium Societies of North America (MASNA)
Marine Aquarium Societies of North America, MASNA, is a non-profit, incorporated Society dedicated to the advancement and protection of the marine aquarium hobby. MASNA's purpose is to:
  • Encourage the ethical growth of the marine aquarium industry
  • Support efforts to eliminate abuses in collecting and transporting marine organisms
  • Educate members with quarterly newsletters, MACNA, and other sanctioned conferences
  • Promote the growth of societies within the hobby to insure a sustainable future for the marine environment
  •  

      Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council
    The Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council is a non-profit trade association representing all segments of the pet industry: retailers, wholesalers, companion animal suppliers, manufacturers, manufacturers representatives, hobbyist groups, and other trade associations.  PIJAC's mission involves education, information and advocacy, focusing on issues involving pet stores, companion animal supply and restrictions to pet ownership, working closely with APPMA on APPMA pet product issues.
